Crawfish Boil

May 16, 2009   Home of Beth and Gene White

Our annual Crawfish Boil is the Club's gift to the membership.  The Club pays for the Crawfish, 1 other meat, usually a brisket or roast, and the soft drinks.  We ask attendees to bring a dish to share, a chair and any "adult beverage" they want during the afternoon.  This year we started the festivities around 2 PM at the White House on the Bayou.  We are lucky - the weather was great, the group was large and Gene once again gave bayou tours on his boat.  We ate and visited with friends, both old and new, until the late evening when the bugs finally force us to go home.

 Sell-A-Bration Arts and Crafts Show

October 10 & 11, 2009  Northshore Harbor Center

This will be our 27th annual Arts & Crafts Show/fundraiser and our 2nd year at the Northshore Harbor Center.  We sell booth space to craftsmen for the weekend asking only that all items sold be handcrafted.  We are fortunate to have several craftsmen who return each year and who tell other craftsmen about our show.

We also hold a raffle during the weekend with the drawings on Sunday afternoon.  For the past several years most of our Interest Groups have donated the most wonderful baskets that have generated a lot of interest (tickets sold).  We have been fortunate to also have Bowling USA donate a package of bowling ball and shoes.  In addition we usually purchase one or two larger items to be raffled.

 Mardi Gras Bal Masque

January 30, 2010  Northshore Harbor Center

This will be our 33rd annual Mardi Gras Ball and our 2nd year to hold it at Northshore Harbor Center.  We elected Ball Captain Nancy in March 2009 so at this time we have only a few details .  The theme for 2010 will be "If Ever I Cease To Love"   She promises we will love it!  We will elect the 2010 Queen and King in May 2009.  Our reigning Queen is Georgianna Bruno and the reigning King is Joe Carrell.  The theme for 2009 was  "Welcome To Broadway" with Ball Captain Ginger Funsch. See some of the pictures in our Photo Gallery.
